Knutsford 2s travelled to a well organised Winnington Park's recently promoted 3s team. Winnington took control early on, playing some good hockey, but nothing penetrated a well organised Knutsford defence. After 20 minutes Knutsford got the decisive first goal with Ozzy starting his first game this season finishing well. Knutsford pushed for a second, but got caught on a swift counter attack - Winnington's right winger executed a good finish, leaving the game with scores level at half time.

The second half started well for Knutsford, again controlling the defence and midfield but not for some fantastic saves from the home team's keeper the game would have been over after 50 minutes. However, it was not long until Knutsford skipper James made it 2-1 and then 3-1 in quick succession.

Knutsford finished the game with Beefy slotting home from a short corner - putting the game to bed. Winnington scored a late second consolation goal but a well deserved Knutsford win make it two wins out of two.
